Our Team

We have a long standing well-qualified team of practitioners at Ash House Day Nursery many of whom have been with us since we openned in 1989. The provider Christine Taylor is a registered nurse and also holds a BA (HONS) degree in Leadership and Management of an Early Years Setting. There are 24 staff members of whom 5 have BA (HONS) degrees in Early Childhood Studies, 1 has a level 5 Foundation degree and 14 practitioners have a level 3 qualification in Early Years Practice. We have a level 3 office manager as well as highly qualified chef and a 2 domestic support assistants. We have and Early Years Professional on site who is responsible for working with the staff to ensure the quality of our Early Years Provision and a qualified SENCo. We also support students and apprentices on their journey from time to time. 

All staff are DBS checked and references sought prior to commencement of their employment following our safer recruitment policy. All staff regularly attend mandatory courses and workshops as well as training to keep abreast of current educational trends and particular interest to fulfil their role. Staff supervisions and appraisals regularly take place to ensure that the needs of the staff and the children are being met and training needs identified.
