Our Setting at Ash House Day Nursery

Our aim is to deliver high quality learning activites for children aged from 6 weeks old to 11 years of age, delivered by a professional, dedicated team. We offer both full and part time places and we provide support for children with Special Educational Needs (please see our SEND policy). We also offer places for two, three and four-year old funded children.

The day nursery is divided into three main areas for the children:

Tiny Treasure: Babies and Toddlers aged 6 weeks to 3 years

Pre-School Room: For 3 years to 5 years

Before and After School/Holiday Club: 5 years to 11 years (end of Primary Education)

Each area is specifically designed to cater for the age and stage of development of the children and is equipped accordingly. The children will access activities both indoors and out and will build upon existing knowledge and skills but be encouraged to extend their skills further by being critical thinker. They will use an abundance of resources in an environment which will invite exploration, stimulate motivation and challenge the children to be curious about the world around them. The age range stated for each room is only a guideline as we endeavour to meet the individual needs of each child, therefore transition may take place earlier or later and only after discussion with parents and when we agree together that time is right for the individual child to move.
