Food and Nutrition at Ash House Day Nursery

Ash House Nursery on the Wirral is a Health Promoting Early Years Status Nursery, we actively encourage healthy eating and our menus are specifically tailored to give the children a healthy balanced diet.

Fresh food is prepared daily in the Nursery kitchen by our qualified cook. The menus are varied, offering a balanced, nutritional and appetising diet, using locally sourced produce.

Our meat is bought from a high quality, local butcher who cuts the meat into child size pieces or minces to order and our fruit and vegetables are supplied by a local, independent greengrocer. 

A vegetarian and vegan alternative is always available and any special diets including dairy free, gluten free and any other allergies/intolerances can be catered for upon request.

Fresh drinking water is available throughout the day and diluted fresh orange juice is offered at lunch time and milk during snack times.
